Mission and Vision
At RESAMA, we strive to be a leading organization in research and action, working for the visibility, recognition, and protection of individuals and communities at risk, affected, and displaced by disasters and climate change, environmental degradation processes, and situations of immobility.
Looking towards the future, RESAMA remains committed to its mission of growing, learning, and making a significant impact without losing sight of its primary purpose: the people and communities in contexts of mobility due to environmental and climatic factors.
With a Latin American perspective and from the South, we aim to create long-term impact, addressing the concerns and collective demands of the region.
Work Areas
We focus on three priority areas: research, advocacy, and collective capacity building. We produce information and knowledge to broaden the understanding of the subject, influence agendas and public policies, and aim to generate collaborative processes, actions, and tools for various stakeholders..
Projects and Collaborations
Throughout our journey, we have partnered with international organizations, research institutes and groups, NGOs, collectives, and communities. Through research projects and training initiatives, we leverage our expertise and specialized knowledge to influence practices and policies at a regional level.
